The main town <a title=\"Capri, Campania\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Capri,_Campania\">Capri<\/a> that is located on the island shares the name. It has been a resort since the time of the <a title=\"Roman Republic\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Roman_Republic\">Roman Republic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the main features of the island include the following: the <a title=\"Marina Piccola\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Marina_Piccola\">Marina Piccola<\/a> (the little harbour), the Belvedere of Tragara (a high panoramic promenade lined with villas), the limestone crags called sea stacks that project above the sea (the <i>Faraglioni<\/i>), the town of <a title=\"Anacapri\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anacapri\">Anacapri<\/a>, the <a title=\"Blue Grotto (Capri)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blue_Grotto_(Capri)\">Blue Grotto<\/a> (<i>Grotta Azzurra<\/i>), and the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas.<\/p>\n<p>Capri is part of the region of <a title=\"Campania\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Campania\">Campania<\/a>, <a title=\"Province of Naples\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Province_of_Naples\">Province of Naples<\/a>. The town of <a title=\"Capri, Campania\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Capri,_Campania\">Capri<\/a> is the island&#8217;s main population centre. The island has two harbours, Marina Piccola and <a title=\"Marina Grande, Capri\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Marina_Grande,_Capri\">Marina Grande<\/a> (the main port of the island).
